We consulted our Birding Guide book. Apparently, what we have going for us is a breeding pair of American Kestrel Falcons!!!! They aren't babies - the American Kestrel only gets to be about 9" tall. Gosh, we have a lot of meat-eating birds in our neighborhood. Great Horned Owls (a male and female), Two Red-Tailed Hawks, and now the Falcons. This is sooo cool. |
