DIARY OF AN URBAN MILKMAID

PROFILE GUESTBOOK OLD OLDER OLDEST
Okay, well I'm pretty upset about Sam Alito, but what can we do? Not enough votes to reject. If we filibuster, they'll go nuke on us and change the requirements to a simple majority...

They had that General guy on C-SPAN yesterday trying to get around the unconstitutionality of Dubya's domestic spying. He's a very good liar, that guy. I couldn't even tell!

Anyway, I have taken to carrying a pocket paperback of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States in my purse. Because, you never know when somebody will be trying to misrepresent it. Usually those who watch a lot of Faux News.

Just for shits and giggles - here's the Fourth Amendment:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be siezed."

So. They were unconstituional in their evesdropping on U.S. citizens' conversations. Pure and simple. All bullshit aside. UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

And because Dubya swore an oath to uphold aforementioned Constitution, he's in violation of that oath. He should be impeached and led out of office in shame.

He's got a couple of ringers on the Court now in order that he and his cronies might get away with all their high crimes and misdemeanors. The Democrats and rational-thinking Republicans though they be few - have got to figure out a way to save our country from those who seek to destroy it.

Seriously, dude - somebody needs to put on their thinking caps!
