DIARY OF AN URBAN MILKMAID

PROFILE GUESTBOOK OLD OLDER OLDEST
We had a National Geographic hour, from 3:30 a.m. to about 4:30 a.m.

I awoke to the sound of the Owl (he's back, yay!) hoot, hoot, hooting in the tree. And, there was another, higher-pitched hooter too.

At first, I was sure it was those nasty Vampires - just screwing with that poor owl's head. Making him think there was a girl owl. But, after listening for a long time, I decided it was a girl owl. How awesome is that??

The "boy" owl was so cute. He'd go "Hoot-Hoot-Hoot Hooooot-Hooooot. And, she would answer him back, exactly in the same pattern. They'd chat away for a while, and then there would be silence. Pretty soon, he'd start up again, and she'd answer him back.

This went on, like I said, for about an hour. Then, I guess she got tired of his incessant chatter, and didn't answer back any more.

He'll no doubt show up again, 'cause he's found a friend in the night.

Nature is so cool.
