DIARY OF AN URBAN MILKMAID

PROFILE GUESTBOOK OLD OLDER OLDEST
Okay. As with most things I do, I usually get them wrong the first time. One of the birds came back, and we got a closer look at it. The whole, grey feathers didn't add up. It was sitting on the telephone wires, close enough to get a good long look. NOT a Red Tailed Hawk.

We consulted our Birding Guide book. Apparently, what we have going for us is a breeding pair of American Kestrel Falcons!!!! They aren't babies - the American Kestrel only gets to be about 9" tall. Gosh, we have a lot of meat-eating birds in our neighborhood. Great Horned Owls (a male and female), Two Red-Tailed Hawks, and now the Falcons. This is sooo cool.
